
Basics of Pistol Shooting
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The goal of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is to teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. The course is offered in both a blended form (online and classroom) or as a traditional classroom session.
Topics include safety, marksmanship fundamentals, pistol operation, and maintenance. Live fire is included in the course and students will receive a textbook and materials. Successful candidates receive a completion certificate.
AUDIENCE
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course is ideal for small groups and is also available for individual students requiring an introduction to pistol shooting.
SCHEDULE/TIME REQUIREMENT
This NRA course is objective-based and generally requires eight to nine hours of classroom and range time for completion.
