USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Course is ideal for new and intermediate shooters who have completed a basic pistol course or a concealed carry class.


This course is designed to introduce the student to defensive shooting techniques that would be applied in "real-life" self-defense scenarios. Topics include defensive shooting vs. marksmanship, drawing from concealment, fortifying the proper grip, point shooting, flash sight picture, and trigger control. Students will learn to balance speed and precision for effective personal defense.

AUDIENCE

This course is designed for new or intermediate students. A firearm and strong-side holster are strongly recommended for this class.

 

SCHEDULE/TIME REQUIREMENT

The course is objective-based, including about one hour of classroom instruction, followed by live-fire exercises on the range.

COST: $75 per person (range fees not included)

Successful students will receive an official USCCA certificate of completion.
